On November 25, the first design liaison meeting of Siyang Second Station reinforcement and renovation project was successfully held in SEC Electric Machinery CO.,LTD.

The liaison meeting was led by Suqian Water Investigation, Design and Research Institute Co., LTD. (Supervision company). Invited the construction Department of Reinforcement and renovation of Siyang Second Station (owner), Jiangsu Water Conservancy Survey and Research Institute Co., LTD. (Design Institute), Suqian Water Conservancy Survey and Design and Research Institute Co., LTD. (Supervision), Leo Group Hunan Pump Industry Co., LTD. (pump manufacturer) and related supporting manufacturers Zhongdian Electric Motor Co., LTD. (motor factory), excitation manufacturers, online monitoring manufacturers, chiller factory Home, Jiangsu Water Conservancy Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. and other well-known domestic units attended the meeting. The experts listened to the introduction of the overall design scheme, quality assurance system, inspection and test scheme, supply plan and so on. The experts unanimously approved the preliminary design scheme and put forward the requirements for further optimizing the overall design scheme and refining the structural design according to the site conditions. The Construction Department put forward the overall expectations and precautions for the project. The participating units unanimously expressed their intention to build the Siyang Second Station project into a highlight project and a high-quality project.
The second Siyang Station is located in the eastern suburb of Siyang County, Jiangsu Province. It is the fourth stage pumping station of South-to-North Water Transfer Project and the first stage pumping station of Huaihe north-water Transfer Project. The station was built in 1996, with a total installed capacity of 5600kW. It is composed of two hydraulic fully regulated axial flow pumps and two vertical synchronous motors. Since its completion, the station has been playing comprehensive functions such as water supply, irrigation, shipping water supply and flood blocking. Due to more than 20 years of operation and serious aging of mechanical and electrical equipment, the pumping station was identified as a third class of safety pumping station in 2016, which is in urgent need of reinforcement and renovation projects.
The single motor power of the project reached 3000KW, the speed of 136.4 RPM, is the third large vertical synchronous motor project won by SEC in Jiangsu Province after the completion of the Liulaojian pumping station project of Jiangsu Luoyun Water Conservancy Project Management Office directly under the Jiangsu Water Resources Department and the Huaiyin pumping station of Jiangsu Irrigation canal. At present, the maximum capacity of hydraulic vertical synchronous single machine designed, manufactured and operated by SEC has been 19000KW.
The acquisition of this project marks a qualitative leap in the design and development of large vertical synchronous motors. SEC will continue to carry forward the enterprise spirit of integrity, pragmatism, innovation and efficiency, and strive to practice the "three good" principle of doing a good job in details, doing a good job in quality and doing a good job in service, so as to provide better products and better services for Jiangsu Water Conservancy and even the national water conservancy projects.
